         Here at Vedder Holsters, we strive to give back to our community! We are proud to support the following charities. You can also click on the charity name/logo to find out more and information on how to you can donate directly. Thank you for your support as each and every customer allows us to continue with our community cause programs.

     

    CHARITIES


    Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is a private, nonprofit organization that collects, stores and distributes donated food to more than 550 feeding partners in six Central Florida counties: Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia. Last year, with the help of numerous donors, volunteers and a caring, committed community, the food bank distributed nearly 58 million meals to partner programs such as food pantries, soup kitchens, women’s shelters, senior centers, day care centers and Kids Cafes.Source

    “Our mission is to create hope and nourish lives through a powerful hunger relief network, while multiplying the generosity of a caring community. One of our major goals is to inspire and engage our community to end hunger.” Source

     

     

     

    Humane Society of Lake County

    Humane Society of Lake County is a 501(c)(3) no-kill animal shelter.Founded in 1976 as an organization solely for charitable purposes and has the general responsibility to operate for the advancement of humane treatment and the prevention of cruelty to animals. Source

    The Humane Society of Lake County (HSLC) is not an affiliate or chapter of any national organization, including the Humane Society of the United States. HSLC relies on the generosity of our community to fund lifesaving programs, and we do not receive government funding. Source 

     

     

     

    The basic mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Program is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas. Source 

    The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit charity, was established in 1991 at the behest of the Marine Corps to help run and support the Marine Toys for Tots Program. Source 

     

     

    “The purpose of the Matthew A. Pucino Foundation, LTD is to continue the legacy of Staff Sergeant Matthew A. Pucino, a selfless man who laid down his life to protect the lives of others. We are a tax-exempt and tax-deductible 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization. Our exempt purpose is to provide for the physical and emotional needs of combat wounded soldiers and their families.". Source 

     

    “"A Florida nonprofit, charitable organization created to enhance public safety and law enforcement in the Mount Dora Community, the Mount Dora Heroes Foundation (MDHF) acts as an independent and unique resource for the Mount Dora Police Department. With several dedicated causes, the Mount Dora Heroes Foundation seeks to honor the brave men, women, and police dogs who served our community.

    The foundation has several core missions, including strengthening ties with the community, helping the Mount Dora Police Department keep pace with rapidly-changing technology, honoring fallen officers and their families, and advancing the Mount Dora Police Department's K-9 program.

    With dedicated funds established to provide for each of these causes, the Mount Dora Heroes Foundation provides auxiliary support to the Mount Dora Police Department in addition to a number of community-based initiatives. The MDHF relies exclusively on donations and no tax dollars are used to fund our efforts.”". Source
